North American PRRS Symposium: Emerging and Foreign Animal Diseases
Even though PRRS remains the focus of the meeting, collaborations with USDA NC-229 and CRWAD have resulted in the expansion of the symposium to include emerging and foreign animal diseases, such as porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED), porcine circovirus-association disease (PCVAD), African swine fever (ASF), classical swine fever (CSF) and other high-consequence diseases of interest in the swine virology community. Topics to be covered include disease control in the field, vaccines, pathogenesis, diagnostics, epidemiology and the role of host genetics in disease.
Several invited talks will be presented by researchers from all over the world. Travel fellowships will be available for students and post-docs. Saturday evening will feature a poster session and reception. Registration is $200 for professional attendees and $100 for students, and includes proceedings and all refreshment breaks. Lunch will also be provided on Saturday and Sunday.
